OUR CORPORATE GOALS

To provide and/or obtain a variety of services and supports within various settings. To deliver quality services and supports to individuals who have disabilities or are disadvantaged. To enhance our job related knowledge and skills. To ensure for public awareness of our programs and the needs of people we support. To maintain a fiscally sound and well managed agency.

For people with disabilities, overcoming prejudice in the workplace has been an ongoing challenge. In 1938, the federal government began to confront this problem when President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the Wagner-O'Day Act. This groundbreaking effort ultimately evolved into what is now the AbilityOne Program, formerly the Jarvits-Wagner-O'Day Program (JWOD).
